Pre-conference classes

Three deep-dive classes precede the conference programme — Class I spans both pre-conference days, while Classes II and III are single-day specialist tracks on opposite days. Mix and match at checkout.

Class I · 2 days

Essential Wireshark Skills: Practical Packet Analysis

  • Instructor Ross Bagurdes
  • Date Mon 2 – Tue 3 November
  • Price €1,120 10% early-bird · €1,245 after 13 July 2026

Real-world examples of how to practically use Wireshark to solve network problems and isolate cybersecurity incidents. Designed to help AllOps (NetOps, SecOps, DevOps) engineers improve their analysis and troubleshooting skills. Hands-on labs throughout, working with real protocol captures.

Who should attend: If you've ever frozen under the weight of detail in a pcap — what should I filter, what's normal, what can I safely ignore — this is the course for you.

Class II · 1 day

WebRTC Network Analysis Masterclass

  • Instructor Robert Hess
  • Date Monday 2 November
  • Price €850 10% early-bird · €945 after 13 July 2026

If users complain about audio issues in their Teams/Meet/Zoom calls, or you need to configure your network perimeter to optimally support WebRTC traffic under specific regulations — this class is for you. After a general WebRTC introduction we cover the use of AI tools for a quick start, then dive into the packets. Prepared captures plus live capture sessions; you can also bring your own captures or capture with your specific web-conferencing tool.

Who should attend: Network admins, developers, and security researchers who want to learn or sharpen their skills analyzing WebRTC connectivity. Practical focus on common WebRTC problems in enterprise networks and how to troubleshoot them.

Class III · 1 day

The Proof is in the Packets: Network Threat Detection Using Wireshark

  • Instructor Marcelle Lee
  • Date Tuesday 3 November
  • Price €850 10% early-bird · €945 after 13 July 2026

Transforms Wireshark from a simple troubleshooting tool into a powerful forensic engine. We move beyond basic protocol analysis into indicators of compromise (IoCs) and threat-actor behaviour hidden in plain sight — identifying the subtle “heartbeats” of malware, recognising command-and-control patterns, and dissecting attacker behaviour across the stages of an attack. Hands-on labs use real-world pcap datasets covering expert filtering, behavioural anomaly analysis, and actionable reporting.

Who should attend: Security Analysts, Network Engineers, and Incident Responders. Prerequisites: familiarity with the TCP/IP stack and basic Wireshark navigation.
